I've just registered the domain greenukdeals.com as a blog (to start off with at least) for hotukdeals.com. HUKD is a site I use a lot when I want to buy something, if you haven't seen it - click the link and have a look around.

I have an interest in all things green and thought it would be nice to link any hot deals that are good for the environment compared to other similar products as these don't to tend to gather much heat in the end. Mass produced cheap items are rarely have an green credentials.

But here is the catch, this is of my opinion and I know the best thing for the environment is to not buy new and renew. Its also not very good for the environment to be always buying new things and that an offer of any item does not reflect the true cost to the environment. Thus you could complain that this is all green wash but with those issues aside for now, if I see something that is an environmentally ok product that has gathered some heat I'll post a link to it.

Some things that might appear on this blog are:

• Low energy Electrical and Computer items.
• Organic Clothing and Food
• Low and no emission vehicles
• Reusable items

Some things that WON'T appear on this blog are:

• Petrol deals
• Meat
• Poisons
• Cheap plastic disposable items

So we'll see how it goes, not sure where I will find time for it or if anyone will pay any attention it.
